When you're on the plane to Bhutan, don't forget to experience the beauty and grandeur of Everest from a high altitude through the window. When you get to Paro, the guide and drive from AET will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you will visit the National Memorial Chorten, which is built in the memory of the late 3rd King. After lunch, you will go to explore the Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley. In the evening, you will pay a visit to the Trashichhoe dzong, also known as Palace of Glorious religion.
Today, you will go the next destination, Punakha by crossing through Dochula pass. If weather permits, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. In the afternoon, you will go to visit the Chimi Lhakhang (temple of fertility), which is famous as many barren couples come to seek blessing for a child. After that, you will go to explore the Punakha dzong, which is also known as palace of Great Bliss/Happiness.
Today, you will go to the next destination, Trongsa. First, you will go to the Pele La at the elevation of 3420m, where you can see the Mt. Jhomolhari (7314m) and other peaks. After that, you can take a small stroll of Yak herder of nearby village Longte at the pass who comes here to sell their products from Yak and its hair. Then, you will go to explore the Chendebji Chorten. After that, you will visit Trongsa Museum, which has fine collection of Royals.
Today, you will visit the Bumthang, which is comprised of four valleys namely Ura, Tang, Chumey and Choekhor valley. At the same time, you can go to the Yathra cloth shop where you can buy some souvenir. Lunch at Chumey Nature Resort. After lunch, you will take a private car to Nimalung Monastery and from there hike down to Prakar Lhakhang. The rest of the time is at your disposal.
Today's first stop is the Jakar dzong, which is also known as castle of white bird. After that, you will go to visit the Wangdicholing Palace, Jambey Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang and Tamshing Lhakhang. Today, you will have your lunch at local farm house to experience typical farm house cuisine. After lunch, you will visit Tamshing Lhakhang, which is known as temple of good message, and the swiss beer factory and swiss factory. For the rest of the time, you can hang out on your own in town.
Morning retraces your drive to Wangdue.
Today, you will go to the next destination, Paro. Upon reaching Paro break for Lunch and then optional either do Zorig hike from Uma Paro and ends near National Museum, where you can have the lovely view of Paro Valley as a whole. You also can choose to hike up to 17 century Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot by crossing the old traditional cantilever wooden bridge. After that, you will go to visit National Museum, the first national museum to cover collection from natural history to religious painting. You can also choose to take part in the archery activities organized by the guide.
Today, you will go to explore the Taktshang monastery, one of the most iconic monasteries in the country. The scenery on the road is beautiful. Don't forget to take some photos. Taktshang or Tiger’s Nest clings to a huge granite cliff hanging at 900m from the Paro vally. In the evening, you can stroll around the town or try hot stone bath recommended by the tour guide.
Today, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. After breakfast, please pack your bags and wait in the lobby. The driver from AET will meet you at your hotel lobby at the appointed time and then transfer you to the airport.
