When you get to Phnom Penh, Asia Expedition Tour’s (AET) Representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you can relax or to pursue independent activities.
After breakfast, you will take a private car to Kratie. Then, you will go to explore Kampi by the traditional fishermen boat, which takes you on a one-hour cruise of the dolphin pool of Kampi. Dolphin pool of Kampi is the largest dolphin pool on the Mekong River. Here you can see many critically endangered dolphins jumping around. After that, you will go to Koh Trong Island by ferry.
Today, you will have a wonderful opportunity to go cycling around the island from the local community. You can not only see the buildings with Cambodian style on both sides of the road, but also have a deep understanding of the daily life and customs of Cambodian people. Then, you will stop at the old Wat Rokakandal temple, originally built in the late 18th / early 19th century. After that, you will pay a visit to the Chhlong village to admire one of the oldest wooden houses of Cambodia. After arriving in Kompong Cham, you visit Wat Nokor, which is an 11th century Mahayana Buddhist shrine made of sandstone and laterite. Afterwards, you will go to visit the modern-day shrines of Wat Andri.
Today, you will continue your trip to Siem Reap. During the journey, you will see the daily life of Cambodians and the pleasant scenery of the countryside. You will stop at the archeological sight of Sambor Prei Kuk, which is dotted with hundred Pre-Angkor styled temples. Then, you will stop off in Kompong Kdei, to look at Spean Pratos – an ancient Angkorian bridge. You will go to the Kampong Khleang. This is the largest floating village nearby, but there are few tourists, so you can relax more freely.
After breakfast, you will go to visit the Ta Prohm. There are very few people in this period. Then, you will go to visit the small but beautiful temple of Banteay Srey, which is largely built of pink sandstone. Don’t forget to use the camera to record this wonderful landscape. In the afternoon, you will head back into main Angkor Park and journey to Tasom. Tasom offers some beautiful photo spots, especially the rear entrance where tree roots adorn the gateway. After that, you will experience sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of Pre Rup. In the evening, you will have a dinner with Apsara Dance show at local restaurant. Cambodia's Khmer dance originated from the ancient court dance, but also integrated into the elements of folk dance, with folk instruments as accompaniment, colorful clothing, luxurious decoration.
Today, you will go to the next destination, world heritage areas. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist. And then, you will go to explore the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, the South Gate, Bayon Temple. Then, you will stop at Baphuon temple and Phimeankas temple. At the same time, you will visit the Elephant terrace, which is platform for king and officer viewed show and people meeting. After that, you will go to visit the Angkor Wat, which is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. You can also try the foot massage and the local pub street.
This will be the last day of your tour. You will transfer to Siem Reap airport for your flight home. Ends your pleasant trip with AET in Cambodia.
