Buddhism was born more than two thousand and five hundred years ago. Buddhism originated in India, which is the holy land of Buddhism. There are more than 376 million Buddhist admirers and devotees all around the world. If you want to get into the roots and culture of Buddhism, you must visit Buddhist sites in India. The Tibetan language of Himalayas means "hometown of snow". It stretches over some 3,500 km and covers about 1,000,000 sq. km of surface area. This magnificent range of mountains overlooking deep valleys, sprawling pastures is the highlight of mountain tourism. As the greatest mountain chain in the world, Himalaya is the holy place in the heart of every climber.

Day 1 Arrive in DELHI (India)

When you arrive at the airport, the guide and drive from AET will wait for you at the airport in advance. After the meeting, you will take a private car to the hotel to check in. You can hang around the hotel for the rest of the time.



Day 2 DELHI
B

On your first stop in Delhi, you will visit the Red Fort. It’s an elegant citadel in red sandstone, which was built as an octagon measuring 900m by 550m. After that, you will visit the Friday Mosque, located in the northeast corner of the old Delhi city, is the India’s largest mosque. There is a famous bazaar near here, Chandni Chowk. You can buy some local specialties here. Then, you will visit the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, New Delhi Qutab Minar and India Gate. Walking on the road that leads to Rashtrapati Bhawan, you can see the residence of the President of India.



Day 3 DELHI - JAIPUR

Today you will go to your next destination, Jaipur, the famous Pink city. After checking in, you will visit the City palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Vidhan Sabha and Birla temple. There are many beautifully laid out gardens and parks in this city, which will amaze you.



Day 4 JAIPUR
B

The first stop of today's journey is the Amber Fort. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. In the Hall of Mirrors, one single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room. Then, you will visit the famous `Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. The next destination is the City Palace. The magnificent City Palace is in the center of the pink city of Jaipur, enclosed by high walls and set amidst fine gardens and courtyards. Then you will go to explore the Astronomical Observatory, one of the five such astronomical wonders.



Day 5 JAIPUR - AGRA

Today, you will go to Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located. “The Ghost City” is a small city in northern India, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. You can see it on the way to Agra. In Agra, you will visit the famous Agra Fort, which is encircled by a moat and contain a maze of buildings. After that, you will return to the hotel to check in.



Day 6 AGRA

Get up early in the morning. Before breakfast, you will visit the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world.

It is the mausoleum of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved spouse of Shah Jahan, who died in 1630. Taj Mahal is the most famous monument in India. Taj Mahal is the most perfect treasure of Muslim art in India. It is one of the classic masterpieces in the world heritage. It is known as the "perfect building" and "Pearl of India". Then you will take the train to Varanasi in the evening.

 

Day 7 AGRA - VARANASI

When you arrive in Varanasi, our guide will wait for you at the reception in advance. Then drive you to the hotel to check in. On the way, you will visit the famous Sarnath - A tombstone built in deer park, where the Buddha preached for the first time.  


Day 8 VARANASI
B

In the morning, you will go to Gang啊、 River. Sitting on the boat, you can see the old buildings, fairways and places along the river. When the sun shines on them, they look like rainbow. After that, you will return back to the hotel for the breakfast. After breakfast you will visit Durga temple and the Benaras Hindu University. Later you will go to the Sarnath. This destination holds great religious importance of Buddhists. Here Lord Buddha lectures his first sermon to his disciples, after he attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya.

In the evening you will witness the famous Ganga aarti. This beautiful ritual makes every moment of the evening special and fills with the spiritual thoughts.



Day 9 VARANASI - BODHGAYA

You will check in at the hotel after you arrive at Bodhisattva palace. The time of day is at your disposal. In the evening, you can leave for attending evening prayer at Mahabodhi temple. 

 


Day 10 BODHGAYA
B

Today's first stop is the Bodhgaya, which is counted one among the four most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. 

Walking here, you can explore the Buddhist culture and the lifestyle of the local people, visit the Great Buddha, the Niranjana River, Sujiata temple and other attractions.

 


Day 11 BODHGAYA - RAJGIR-PATNA
B

Rajgir is a beautiful valley town, which is your destination today. Here you can visit the Vulture Hill, World Peace Stupa and Bamboo's Garden. After sightseeing around Rajgir, head towards, Nalanda which is 18 kms from Rajgir. Here, visit the ruins of world oldest University. It is one of the oldest Universities of the World and an International Centre for Buddhist Studies. After that, you will go to explore Patna. 



Day 12 PATNA - KUSHINAGAR

After breakfast, head for Kushinagar, about 253 km from Patna. On your way to Kushinagar, you will visit the ancient city of Vaishali in Bihar and enjoy your delicious lunch there. Upon arrival in Kushinagar, you will first check in at the hotel. After freshing up, you will visit some scenic spots, such as Mahaparinirwana Temple and Rambhar Stupa, Buddha crematorium and Japanese Temple.

 


Day 13 KUSHINAGAR - LUMBINI

The next destination is Lumbini, which is 170 kms from Kushinagar. Please note that when you go to Lumbini (Nepal), you need to go through all visa / immigration procedures at the India / Nepal border. Upon arrival, you will check in at the local luxury hotel. Lumbini is a place that all Buddhists must visit. Stroll to explore the place and return to the hotel.



Day 14 LUMBINI - SRAVASTI - DELHI
Overnight on train

Today you will leave Lumbini for Kapilvastu. After visiting Kapilvastu, your next destination is Sravasti. On arrival, visit the gardens of Sah Mahet, known as the ancient capital of Kosala, and around Buddhist temples. After the tour, transfer to Balarampur railway station to Delhi.


Day 15 DELHI - DHARAMSHALA

After arriving in Delhi, drive to the next destination, Mcleoudganj, about 500 km. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel in the center of the city.



Day 16 DHARAMSHALA
B

Dharamsala is a beautiful mountain station with beautiful places and pleasant weather. You can embrace the nature here, visit the Namgyal Monastery of Dalai Lama, and buy some gifts at the Tibetan handicraft center to take home.



Day 17 DHARAMSHALA - DELHI
B

Today you will return to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will check in at a luxury hotel in the city center.



Day 18 DELHI - KATHMANDU
B

You will go to the airport this morning and board for Kathmandu. When you arrive at the airport, you will find that the guide and driver have arrived at the airport ahead of time and are waiting for you. After checking in at the hotel, you can enjoy the local natural scenery in the garden near the hotel.


Day 19 KATHMANDU
B

Today, you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Soyamhunath, Patan Krishna Mandir and Kathmandu Durbar Square. 



Day 20 KATHMANDU - POKHARA
B

Today you will go to the next destination, Pokhara. On your way to Pokhara, you will visit the Manokamna Temple. (Approx. 6 hrs.) 



Day 21 POKHARA
B

Get up early, today you will go to the Sarangkot hill to see the beauty of Himalayan range views the sunrise and the sunrise. After that, you will return to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast you will go for half day sightseeing to David’s fall, Gupteshowor Mahadev Cave, Bindabasini Temple and Phewa Lake. In the evening, you can take a boat in Lake Phewa.

Day 22 POKHARA - CHITWAN

After breakfast, you will take a private car to Chitwan. During the day, you can go out and enjoy the local culture.



Day 23 CHITWAN
B

After lunch, you will visit Tharu village, which is famous for personal observation of Tharu community and its culture. There's a museum, which is famous for its research and observation of the Tharu community and its culture. The museum displays all kinds of equipment, utensils, clothing and daily necessities used by the Tharu people.



Day 24 CHITWAN - KATHMANDU

In the afternoon, you will go to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the hotel to check in.



Day 25 KATHMANDU - DELHI - DEPARTURE
B

Please take your luggage in advance and wait in the hotel lobby in the morning. The driver will take you to the airport on time. AET hopes that this journey has given you a wonderful and extraordinary experience.
