Welcome to Vientiane! Your enthusiastic guides and experienced drivers will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. After checking in, you are free to recover from the time difference for the rest of the day or to wander around and become familiar with the surroundings.
Your all-day tour of the city will take you to vientiane's highlights. Next, please follow your guide to visit the oldest temple in Vientiane - Wat Si Saket. This is a palace temple built in 1818, combining Siamese and Khmer architectural styles. Then you will visit Haw Phra Kaeo, which has beautiful architecture. There are many valuable Lao collections on display here. In the main hall, you could see many bronze Buddha statues with different postures and expressions.
In the afternoon, take a walk in the Buddha Park. There are more than 200 statues of Buddhism and Hinduism in this unusual Park, also known as Xieng Khuan. The tranquil environment along the Mekong River contrasts with a slightly eccentric sculpture built by a Lao shaman in 1958. These concrete sculptures are unique, engaging and stately in a tranquil park. After driving back to Vientiane. You are free the rest of the time.
After breakfast, you will drive to Vang Vieng, which is famous for its karst landscape. You will cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves after checking in at a local hotel. Then take a short hike in the breathtaking mountain scenery to explore the Tam None Cave and some mountain villages. Today's ending is a beautiful sunset panorama, reflected on the Nam Song River.
In the morning, your guide will escort you to Luang Prabang with comfortable car. The whole journey is total about 5 to 6 hours. You will stop for lunch on the way. You can see the beautiful scenery along the way. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel.
Luang Prabang is located between the Nam Khan and Nam Ou rivers. It is a chanting town full of historical temples and colonial buildings. Your unforgettable journey will begin with a charity ceremony in the morning, and you will receive the blessing of the monks you give the alms. Have breakfast in the hotel, then start to visit Kuangsi waterfall for half a day, where you will enjoy beautiful natural scenery, enjoy the fun and relax in the waterfall. Drive back to the town and have a lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the symbolic temple of Lao classical architecture - the Wat Xiengthong and then visit the Royal Palace Museum and learn about some history of Laos. Then visit the Wat Aham Temple which means “Monastery of the Opened Heart” and the Stupa of Wat Visoun. For the rest of the day, you can relax in one of the cafes or walk along the beautiful river to explore the city. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
In the morning, you started your cruise on the upper Mekong river, which also gave you an amazing view of the quiet countryside. Along the way, you stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make Laos rice wine and rice whiskey. You can try and see how they do it. Then you arrive at the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two adjoining caves filled with thousands of gold-painted Buddha statues of different shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.
You will have a lunch near the caves. During lunch, you will have the opportunity to taste a local dish called "Orlam", which is vegetable soup, featuring some edible spicy wood. After the return trip, you got off the boat to visit Ban Phanom, a traditional weaving village famous for hand weaving.
In the morning, your guide will take you to see the alms-giving and then visit the noisy Morning Phousi Market, where all kinds of goods are on sale. After that, you will enjoy the ethnic customs of Laos in Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village.
