Day 1 Arrival in Luang Prabang
Victoria Xieng Thong Palace or similar hotel (4-star standard)

Welcome to Luang Prabang. When your arrival in Luang Prabang, your private local guide from AET will welcome you at the airport then escorts you to your hotel in Luang Prabang. After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to refresh yourself from the long flight and save energy for the following a week of best Laos tour package.

Day 2 Luang Prabang

In the morning, you will attend an important ritual: the morning charity. As a sign of respect, the locals gave the first jar of glutinous rice of the day to the monks, and the monks walked barefoot a long way into the city. This simple food was their only source of food during the day.

After the ritual, you will visit the morning market of Luang Prabang. And then you will visit Xieng Thong Temple, the Traditional Art Exhibition Center and the Royal Palace Museum. Try some local cuisine for lunch. Overnight in Luang Prabang.


Day 3 Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang is a charming town full of historic temples and colonial-style architecture. You will start the day at Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunalat). The oldest surviving temple in Luang Prabang, Wat Visoun dates back to 1513 and houses many ancient wooden Buddha statues. Visit the nearby Wat Aham, then continue to Wat Xieng Thong, the most precious jewel of all the temples in the city. Many of its magnificent buildings are characterized by exquisite mosaics and golden template murals. From there, stroll along the main streets of Luang Prabang and stop at many temples on both sides, including Wat Sibounheuang, Wat Si Moungkhoun, Wat Sop and Wat Sene. Continue to visit the National Museum (Royal Palace), a simple and elegant building combining Lao and French traditional art themes. Climb up the stairs on the hillside to the small temple on the top of the Buddhist temple. This 100-meter high hill is located in the center of the town. You can see the beautiful scenery of the temple and the river. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4 Luang Prabang

Today, you will take a private boat along the Mekong River to reach the Pak Ou Cave. When you take the boat tour, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong river, but also see the daily life of the local people in the riverside fishing villages. Visit the Pak Ou Cave on the Mekong River and you will find many gold-painted Buddha statues. After the tour, take a boat back to Luang Prabang and have a day off. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5 Luang Prabang

You will leave Luang Prabang by driving and visit some villages on the way to Kuangsi Waterfall. On the way, you will meet some friendly minority people, passing by Ban Na Ouane Village and Ban Tha Pen Village. You can go swimming or jump into clear water, or hike easily in the forest. In the early afternoon, you will return to Luang Prabang. 

Day 6 Elephant Village

Your English guide will meet you in the lobby of Luang Prabang hotel. Welcome greeting by your guide and take part in a brief introduction about elephants. Enjoy an unforgettable 1km bareback elephant ride! Receive basic training in elephant training and learn how to control an elephant as a trainer. And then have a buffet lunch served with coffee / tea and drinking water (vegetarian options available) at Elephant Camp restaurant. In the afternoon, take your elephants to the Nam Khan river for for a once-in-a-lifetime bathing experience. Then relax on the traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall. You can soak your feet in the cool, clear water or take a swim (the water level varies with the seasons)

Day 7 Departure from Luang Prabang
