Kharkhorin and South Gobi Tour

When you get to Ulaanbaatar, the guide and drive from AET will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you will take the private car to the Hustai National Park and see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. At the same time, you can also see the wolf, argali sheep, and deer. You can try riding a horse for an hour and take some beautiful photos. After that, you will visit the Takhi's small museum.

After eating your breakfast, you will take a private car to the Kharkhorin, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. After that, you will go to explore the Erdene Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas. Then visit the Kharkhorin museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls.

Today, you will go to visit the Ongi Temple which had about a thousand lamas. On the way to Ongi Temple, you will pay a visit to the local nomad family. You can get to know their lifestyle and cultural customs through close contact with them. In the afternoon, you will visit the ruin of big monastery Bari Yonzon Hamba on the bank of the river.

Today you will take a private car to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs, where the first nest of dinosaur eggs found in 1922.Walking in this huge paleontological site, you will discover not only dinosaur’s but ancient human’s remains too. Here, you also have the chance to see many rare wild animals.

Today, you will go to the next destination, Khongor sand dunes. These are Mongolia's largest sand dunes, reaching a height of 300 meters in some areas. In the afternoon, you will have a chance to ride on two-humped Bactrian camels to explore Khongor sand dunes. At the same time, you will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman's family to explore their way of life, their culture and traditions. The sand dunes in Mongolia are very beautiful. The colors are different every hour.

Today, you will go to explore the Yolyn Am, the Eagle Valley. Take a trip to Yol Am and Dungene valley - a wonderfully picturesque place with ice in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Here, you can see the beautiful scenery and wild animals belonging to Mongolia alone. In the afternoon, you will go to the Gobi museum.

After breakfast, please pack your bags and wait in the lobby. The driver from AET will meet you at your hotel lobby at the appointed time and then transfer you to the airport in time. This is the end of your trip.
