Best of Altai Mountain Tour

Upon arrival in Ulgii, the guide and driver from AET will meet you outside the customs of Airport. After that, you will go to explore the lake Hoton and Hurgan. During the drive, Altai Mountain will never make you bored of its magnificent and enormous view. In Ulaankhus village, you will pay a visit to the Kazakh Eagle hunter’s family to learn about their daily life and local custom.

Today, you will go to explore the lakes in the heart of Altai mountains. These lakes are completely isolated from human civilization and are a good place to relax. Along the lake, you can see beautiful waterfalls, rock paintings and some ancient Turkic statues. On the right side of the lake, there are snow mountains covered with forests, which are like a wall separating China and Mongolia.

Today you will follow the Tsagaan Gol Valley to the Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.  The Altai mountains are the largest and highest mountains in Mongolia. After that, you will go to visit the Shiveet Hairhan, also known as Sacred Mountain. There you will see the largest rock art gallery from bronze age to Huns age.

Today, you have a wonderful opportunity to go to the Altai Tavan Bogd by horse. Enjoy this stunning setting with the awe-inspiring massif snowcapped peaks. At the same time, you will see the 30km long enormous Potanin’s glacier. In the 19th century, explorer Potanin discovered this ancient ice river.

Today, you will take a private car to Ulaankhus soum through desert-mountain plateau. On the way, you can see the snowcapped mountains on both sides of the road. Don't forget to record the rare scenery with a camera.

This will be the last day of your tour. According to your flight schedule, our driver will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel at the appointed time and send you to the airport.
